Function of environmental protective research office: 　　
　 　 Environmental protective research office is our most important office in environmental research field. It owns great technical research ability. The main work in this office is to research the disposal method of atmospheric pollution and wastewater, research the integrated technology of desulfurization and denitrification from all kinds of fuel coal and oil, and disposal method of wastewater with high content of sulfur and organic substance.
　 　 Environmental protective research office has assumed and accomplished key technical problems' tackling project of China's ninth “five years plan” — the industrial experiment of chemical desulfurization technology and performance assessment, which has won the third grade of technical development prize in 2002, key technical problems' tackling project of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) — technology of desulfurization from Orimulsion in Venezuela, which has won the first grade of technical development prize in Heilongjiang province. We have also accomplished key problems' tackling project, which is entrusted by CNPC— disposal of the wastewater with high content of sulfur and organic pollutant. These technologies have made great contribution to China's environmental protection work.
